How To Setup Mail

1. Add Your HestiaCP Email to iPhone Mail App

Go to:

Settings → Mail → Accounts → Add Account → Other → Add Mail Account

Enter:

Email: your full email address
Username: your full email address
Password: the email password
Description: anything you like

Tap Next and you'll see Incoming and Outgoing settings.

🔵 INCOMING MAIL SERVER (IMAP)

Hostname: mail.universalexportsbvn.in
Username: full email address
Password: your password

Use IMAP SSL (recommended)

  • IMAP Server: mail.universalexportsbvn.in

  • Port: 993

  • Security: SSL/TLS

If SSL fails, try:

  • Port: 143

  • Security: STARTTLS

🔴 OUTGOING MAIL SERVER (SMTP)

Hostname: mail.universalexportsbvn.in
Username: full email address
Password: your password

Recommended secure SMTP settings:

  • SMTP Server: mail.universalexportsbvn.in

  • Port: 465

  • Security: SSL/TLS

If that doesn’t work, use:

  • Port: 587

  • Security: STARTTLS

Make sure “Use Authentication: ON”.

⚠️ Common Issues & Fixes

1. SSL Certificate Not Trusted

Gmail/iPhone will reject self-signed SSL.

Fix:
Use a valid Let's Encrypt SSL in HestiaCP:

HestiaCP → Mail → domain → Enable SSL → Use Let's Encrypt

Make sure DNS A records point to the mail server before enabling.

2. iPhone mailing stuck at “Verifying”

Turn off “automatic” and manually fill:

  • Hostname

  • Username

  • Password

Then try again.

3. Gmail App for iPhone

The Gmail app supports IMAP but does not support manual SMTP for non-Google accounts in some regions.

If Gmail app rejects the account → use Apple Mail app instead.
